“Ed, stand up some shadow entities for us to work as a tertiary group. We’re not trying to be invisible, just make it less transparent that corporate takeovers are in play,” I directed Ed.
“No problem,” Ed said.
Finally I looked at Gary Coles, my Chief of Finance.
“Gary, stand up a 5 billion dollar budget for special project procurements. Call it GAP, for Gantry Asset Procurement, internally only. Come up with some other innocuous reference for the financial reporting,” I directed.
“Sure thing, Jeff. I know what you want. You don’t want to be deceitful and hide the activity, just not make it obvious in our reporting by using the name GAP,” Gary said.
“Right,” I said.
“Ed, make sure you handle all the legal loopholes here. It’s just a beginning budget, spread it around to various holdings and the shadow entities.”
